PROFILE: Our car restoration services are based around Honikiwi Garage. This business has been established as a light engineering and restoration business for two generations.

Phillip learned his skills in engineering from his father and restoration skills from well known panel beaters Keith Merry and Morris Maisey. These characters had honed their skills the hard way, by having to build panels for cars and trucks when originals couldn't be repaired. In the days when these guys were learning their skills, replacement panels were not available. This has put Phil in good stead to re-create panels for vehicles, either when replacements are unobtainable, or too expensive. His workshop is a Mecca of fabricating tools and machines.

As a necessity, Phil has made many contacts within New Zealand, Australia and the United States for procuring parts and complete cars.

There are many businesses established to import parts from the US, but not many of these are able to provide the knowledge needed to get those hard to find parts, so often needed to complete a project.
Phil is able to offer you a one stop shop to restore your classic car or develop it further into a rubber burning street machine.
